I had just got canned so I felt very bored and disappointed. I almost did not want to meet anyone or do anything. I was stuck in a bad situation and it seemed to be hard to get over. I came across this formula on a new food blog. These impressive shaped cookies immediately attracted to me because of its simple ingredients and steps. I quite like flavor of almond, I was glad to use both almonds paste and almond sliced to make a cookie. Others ingredients includes bittersweet chocolate, egg white and granulated sugar.   • 1/2 pound canned almond paste
  • 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/3 cup chopped bittersweet chocolate, about 1 1/2 ounces
  • 1 cup sliced almonds

First, preheat oven to 350F. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Next, in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat almond paste and sugar together until creamy, about 2 minutes. Add egg whites and beat on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes, scraping down bowl once or twice. Fold in chopped chocolate.

After that, place almonds in a shallow dish, such as a pie plate. Roll dough between your palms into 1-inch balls. Roll balls around in almonds to coat completely and place on prepared cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Finally, bake until light golden brown around edges, puffed, and pale gold on top, about 15 minutes. Slide parchment onto racks to cool cookies completely.
