If you’re organising a big event, such as a family party, you need a website that other people can view and
contribute to. You could use a blog or wiki, but a better option is to make a simple site with OneNote Online.

Step 1: Go to, create a new Notebook and give it a name. Start by making a front page for the site, which people will see when they first log in. The site can be a single page or have several pages if you have lots of different areas you want people to collaborate on.

Step 2: You can make links to other pages of the Notebook. Create a new page and give it a title. From the page where you want the link to appear, right-click the title of the page you want to link to (‘Menu’, in our example) and select ‘Copy Link to this Page’. Use Ctrl+V to paste the link into the text. The name of the page will appear as a blue hyperlink.

Step 3: When you’re ready to publish the Notebook, click the Share button. Click ‘Get a link’. You can create different links depending on whether you want the recipient to be able to edit or just view the Notebook. Shorten the links to make them less cumbersome.
